Can you be in two places at one time? Can we see our other self in these streets, the one who was walking towards here? What do these untethered years ask of us? Can we enter the city that we entered so many times before? Is this a city or is it a thread? Do we remake it again and again? Are we strange enough? Are we the strangers we once were? Is it a question of being the same or doing the same thing? Was it the writing on the wall? Where would we meet on a rainy afternoon? Is this still party city? Is that mirror shattered and swept away like melting ice? Or is there another frame? Do you hide in your fragment of this place? Or do you draw lines that extend out through your window? Did we come to see you or were you an excuse to try to see ourselves? Is this an invitation or did you want us to turn away? Are we intruding? Do we care? Is that the war in the doorway? Is it a war or a darkening reflection? Do you keep intending for this to be the last swirl of blue? Or do you not want to think about the end or the edges? Do we swim out together or take turns watching the waves come in? Who collects the water? Who sands the surface until it is a seashell? Did we mean to meet on this corner? Did you miss the long distance call and take your chances? Did you think we would be here again?
